Bahiya Movement was created to cross and break all barriers regarding body image and self-esteem through the art of dance. Founded in 2011 by Afia Thompson and daughter Nafi Thompson. This dynamic mother/daughter duo fuse hip-hop, jazz, modern, and African dance to demonstrate an electrifying, energetic movement that stands above the rest.
Their goal is to show the world that it’s not about your body size or type that defines you as a dancer, but rather the skill, technical training, creativity and love of the art.
